Country specific currency symbols

This is made in Australia but available in the UK. I want to use the pound £ sign and see the UK use it as an integral part of the system.

Hi Ian, I have split your original request into two because they are separate development projects. For the currency symbol, the changes to the system would be significant and require a large scope of work to make it variable. Whilst we agree this is a necessary change, we cannot address it soon due to a large scope of development work already underway. I marked this request as not planned, but that doesn't mean we will never do it. It may change if we get enough votes or find time in the development pipeline.
